Common questions

What's the difference between a valet and a detail?

A valet deep-cleans the interior and refinishes the paintwork. A detail goes further — decontaminating the paint, machine polishing out defects and applying long-lasting protection such as a ceramic coating.

How long does a full valet take?

Most full valets take 3 to 4 hours depending on the size and condition of the vehicle. Ask the business when booking whether you can wait or should drop the car off.

Do I need to be present for a mobile valet?

Usually you just need to provide access to the vehicle and, if the valeter doesn't carry their own, a water supply and power socket. Confirm the details when you book.

How much does a car wash cost?

Prices depend on vehicle size and package. A quick exterior wash is typically £8–£15, a mini valet £15–£35 and a full valet £70–£150+. Always check what's included before booking.

How often should I wash my car?

Every two to four weeks is a good rule of thumb — more often in winter or if the car is parked near the sea. Interiors benefit from a valet every three to six months.
